<blockquote>
Please go check the map for any perl monger groups you know of and, if you can’t find them, email the admin for the group (you can find the email address at http://www.pm.org) and ask them to update their details to include the location.
</blockquote>

As a group admin, how/where do I update my details to include/update the location? I don't want to be a burden to the wonderful volunteers maintaining the PM RT queue. LA.pm has a dot in central los angeles, but since I've restarted it we've been on the "Westside" meeting in Santa Monica at the Rubicon Project headquarters. It would be nice to move our dot closer to 90025.

http://la.pm.org

PS. Tim, if you're ever back in LA, we'd love to have you at one of our meetings.

I'd love to join a PM group, but in NW Kansas, there are none. I'd love to start one, but I don't know that there are any other people even interested. The nearest PM groups are pretty much dead. The nearest "alive" group seems to be Omaha.pm, which would be a long drive for me.

If anyone out there happens to be both in the NW Kansas area and interested in a PM group, tell me. I would really enjoy physical meetings with other Perl folk.

> Now I know that the Dublin group is barely active, but it is alive and should be on the map

"Istanbul" is on the map but "Ankara" is not for Turkey. They are listed in the pm.org page though. However, I can confirm that there is not and never was a local PM in Turkey. There is no community (unless you count a sub category in a forum site where formmail is discussed) either, which is sad :( The point is; anyone can register a subdomain from pm.org but the accuracy is not validated. I'm not sure why those people are registering a PM name though. Maybe looks good on a cv, or they are just parking the name or something...

PDX.pm is special :) Seriously though, I think that chart is targeting larger longer one-off events rather than regular weekly or even monthly meetings. Otherwise the chart would become fairly meaningless. Perhaps a reasonable criteria would be that the event should last at least one day.
